Yale Summer Session
Same Veritas. More Lux.
Yale Summer Session courses span Yale College’s liberal arts curriculum and are taught each summer in two five-week sessions: Session A (May 26 – June 27, 2025) and Session B (June 30 – August 1, 2025). Courses are offered in New Haven and online, offering students increased flexibility. Yale Summer Session provides students the opportunity to get ahead on credits, fulfill distributional, major, and other requirements or prerequisites, focus in on an intense course, or explore new areas of interest. Students can elect to live on campus in the Yale Summer Session Summer Colleges, with a robust set of residential college activities, or may choose to live off campus.

Yale Study Abroad
Explore. Engage. Study Abroad.
Yale College students may study abroad during the summer following their first, second, and third years at Yale and/or during their sophomore spring term or either term during their junior year. Yale offers 20+ of its own Yale Summer Session Programs Abroad and has designated hundreds of non-Yale programs. All programs can be found on the designated list on our website.
Students earn academic credit for their study abroad, and financial aid transfers to approved programs. We recommend that students begin planning by the term before they would like to go abroad, and we encourage them to reach out to our office for advising and resources.
