Yale Study Abroad assists Yale College students before, during, and after their study abroad experience.
Before students study abroad, advisers help students to identify a program that matches their academic, professional, and personal goals, and to prepare for their time abroad in relation to their courses, finances, health, safety, and cultural adjustment. While students are abroad, advisers provide guidance with questions, challenges, and opportunities that arise during the program. When students return to Yale, advisers support students with their re-adjustment and with ways to remain involved in international opportunities on campus and in the community.
While Yale Study Abroad is here to advise, students are also expected to take ownership of their study abroad experiences and to be confident in choosing their own paths – paths that builds on previous experiences at Yale and that help students reach toward their goals.
Yale Study Abroad works with hundreds of study abroad options, including Yale Summer Session Programs Abroad, Non-Yale Summer Abroad, and Year or Term Abroad.
